The “W” Initiative

Access Bank believes that women are a powerful and key catalyst for change. We know and embrace the truth about empowering women. In 2006, Access Bank began a journey into the world of women and Banking on Women. After working through the Gender Empowerment Movement to invest in women for 8 years, the program evolved into a robust plan to provide women with banking solutions that meet their diverse career and lifestyle requirements named the ‘W’ Initiative.

The W Initiative is the home of a range of products and services designed to effectively meet the present-day financial and lifestyle needs of women, as well as provide them with a complete and rewarding banking experience. We work with a wide range of women’s leadership organizations, offering our community of women a strong array of resources to help propel their careers forward.

Access Bank is proud to support women at all stages of their careers and in a wide range of professions through the “W” Initiative. We are particularly pleased to be supporting this exhibition which celebrates the tech women of Lagos. As they build bold new companies and solve critical challenges using technology, Access Bank and the W Initiative stand as proud partners and financiers of their vision.
